Paul Drux joins Kieback&Peter

Paul Drux, long-time captain and crowd favourite of Füchse Berlin, is joining Kieback&Peter, the main sponsor of the Füchse, for a year after retiring from professional handball due to injury. There, the 30-year-old will gain new professional experience, go through various areas of the company and gain an insight into the work of a successful traditional Berlin company.
New perspectives for club legend
The close partnership between the Füchse Berlin and Kieback&Peter makes this special step possible. Kieback&Peter, an expert in building automation, has been the main sponsor of the Füchse since 2023 and is committed to the sustainable promotion of talent and future-oriented solutions both in sport and in its own company.
Drux's move to Kieback&Peter is deliberately planned as a one-year trainee programme - with the clear aim of then returning to Füchse Berlin in a management role and contributing his knowledge to the club. "Even though it naturally hurts to have to end my sporting career earlier than planned, I'm now looking forward to the new era with great anticipation. I'm really looking forward to gaining practical experience at Kieback&Peter in an innovative Berlin-based company, broadening my horizons and preparing for my time after my professional career. I am very grateful for the trust that Kieback&Peter and the Füchse have placed in me," explains Drux.
His next playing field: intelligent buildings
Kieback&Peter is one of the leading providers in the field of building automation and is strongly committed to sustainability and climate protection. At Kieback&Peter, Paul Drux will experience the future of innovative building automation at close quarters and gain valuable insights into the management of a successful medium-sized company. In close coordination with managing partner Christoph Ritzkat, he will work his way through various central areas of the company to learn how innovation, climate protection and economic activity go hand in hand.

„It is something very special - and also a matter close to my heart - to give a top athlete like Paul this insight into our company and to accompany him on his path after his active professional career.
He is a true role model for reliability, teamwork and a sense of responsibility - values that have always characterised our family business. I am looking forward to the personal exchange with him and to the fact that we as a company will benefit from his outside perspective“

Bob Hanning, Managing Director of Füchse Berlin, emphasises: "Paul is a legend of our club and a figurehead for our successful youth development work. In close dialogue with Christoph Ritzkat, it was our joint idea to give Paul this special opportunity at Kieback&Peter. His time with our main sponsor will help him to gain new perspectives so that he can later take on responsibility again in a managerial role at the Foxes."
With this step, Füchse Berlin and Kieback&Peter are reaffirming their strong partnership and their joint commitment to a sustainable future - in sport and in business.
