"Richtfest" for THE FRIEDENAUER: Kieback&Peter’s new headquarter grows
Construction progress is becoming visible: With the topping-out ceremony for THE FRIEDENAUER, Kieback&Peter’s new corporate headquarters is one significant step closer to completion.
THE FRIEDENAUER has reached another major construction milestone. Less than a year after the foundation stone was laid, the building at Innsbrucker Platz has already taken visible shape. Covering around 21,000 square metres, it will provide modern office space, retail outlets and dining facilities within an urban mixed-use concept that will help shape the future development of the area.
With its sustainable energy concept and modern working environments, the building reflects Kieback&Peter’s core values: sustainability, innovation and responsibility for future-ready living and working spaces.
A future-oriented corporate headquarters
The new headquarters will create modern working environments that foster collaboration while demonstrating how intelligent building automation supports sustainable building operations.
A key feature of the building is its sustainable energy concept. THE FRIEDENAUER is designed for climate-neutral operation without fossil fuels. As the first building in Berlin, it will use the energy contained in the city’s wastewater system entirely for its heating and cooling supply. This is made possible by a combined wastewater channel operating as a free-surface flow system.
Kieback&Peter’s intelligent building automation complements this concept by providing transparency on energy flows and continuously optimizing building performance. In addition, THE FRIEDENAUER is being developed in accordance with the EU Taxonomy and is aiming to achieve DGNB Gold and WiredScore certifications.
A strong partnership for a future-ready urban district
Together with the project developer, architects, construction companies and numerous other partners, a landmark building ensemble is taking shape that will define the Innsbrucker Platz area.
As the gateway to the Friedenauer Höhe district development, THE FRIEDENAUER combines workplaces, local amenities and high-quality public spaces in a location with excellent transport connections between Schöneberg and Friedenau.
Kieback&Peter would like to thank all project stakeholders for their trusted collaboration and looks forward to supporting the continued development of THE FRIEDENAUER through to its completion in 2027.
