Two European technology leaders in building automation will work more closely together in the future: Kieback&Peter and LOYTEC electronics have agreed on a strategic partnership to jointly develop innovative solutions for intelligent room automation. The aim is to provide Kieback&Peter customers with even more comprehensive support in the planning, control, and optimization of modern buildings. The cooperation is open in design and complements the existing partnerships of both companies.

Strong Together in Room Automation

The partnership focuses on powerful hardware and software components that are suitable for building and retrofitting scalable room automation solutions. These technologies will become part of Kieback&Peter’s expanded portfolio with the aim of offering a highly efficient, flexible, and future-proof room automation system. Key aspects include energy efficiency, user comfort, flexibility, and cost savings. The solutions are ideally suited for use in classified buildings of classes A and B in accordance with the European standard DIN EN ISO 52120-1 (DIN EN 15232).

“The cooperation with LOYTEC is an important step for us in further developing our offering in room automation – with a focus on interoperability, flexibility, and system integration,” says Janis Anders, Solution Manager – Room Automation at Kieback&Peter.

Technical Integration for Maximum Openness

As part of the cooperation, existing system integrations will be expanded: the components support open protocols such as BACnet, Modbus RTU, EnOcean, Bluetooth, SMI, and DALI and enable seamless communication between room controllers, sensors, displays, and backend systems. This openness facilitates integration with existing building automation systems and provides significant added value, particularly for planners, system integrators, and facility managers – with a focus on long-term investment security.

Added Value for the Market

The first joint solutions from Kieback&Peter and LOYTEC are already available. After successful testing, the products have been integrated into various projects. Particular attention is given to applications where multiple room functions are jointly controlled – such as heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, and shading.

“With this partnership, we are setting a benchmark for openness, integrability, and customer orientation – values shared by both LOYTEC and Kieback&Peter,” according to the joint statement of the project leaders.

Perspective

The cooperation is designed for the long term and will be continuously expanded. In addition to technical enhancements, joint market development measures are also planned – including expert articles, webinars, and trade fair appearances.
